How to Change the Font, Size or Scale of Captions After Generating
You generated your captions and now the font feels too heavy, or the emphasis words are too big. You don't need to start over. Edit Generated Captions (Captyne 1.5.8 and later) changes a style on captions that already exist.
Change a style's font, size or scale
- Generate your captions as usual.
- Move the comp's playhead to a phrase you want to judge.
- On the Preview tab, open Edit Generated Captions.
- Pick the style (Normal, Emphasis, Style 3 …) and change its font, size or scale.
The phrase under the playhead updates straight away, so you can see the change before committing to it.
- When it looks right, click Apply to all. Every other phrase is updated.
Words re-space so nothing overlaps. Scale multiplies the preset's own animation, so pops and bounces keep working at the new size.
Change grouping, words or styles after generating
The Interactive Preview stays linked to your generated captions. You can:
- regroup phrases or move words between lines,
- merge, split or rename words,
- change which style a word uses.
Then click Preview at playhead to rebuild just the phrase at the playhead, or Apply changes to rebuild every phrase you changed. Phrases you didn't change are not rebuilt.
