How to Sell Caption Presets on the Captyne Marketplace

Updated 1 min read

Designed a caption style people would pay for? You can sell it on the Captyne Marketplace. Creators keep 80% of every sale.

1. Build and test your preset

Create the preset as described in How to create your own caption preset. Before submitting:

  • Test it with short and long words, one-line and two-line phrases and different reveal modes.
  • Prefer After Effects' built-in effects. If you use third-party plugins, buyers need them too, and the listing will say so.
  • Use fonts that are free for commercial use, or fonts buyers can easily get.

2. Submit it

You can submit a preset from the Captyne panel or on the website at captyne.com/marketplace/submit. You'll choose:

  • Free or paid, and your price for paid presets
  • A name and description that say what the style is good for (for example "bold TikTok captions with a bounce")
  • Attribution details

3. Review

Every submission is reviewed before it's published, so the marketplace stays high quality. Once approved, your preset appears in the Marketplace in the plugin and on the website, with its preview video.

4. Get paid

Payments are handled by Paddle. For each sale you receive 80% of the price and Captyne keeps 20%. Your earnings appear in your creator dashboard on your captyne.com account, where you can request withdrawals.

Tips for presets that sell

  • Make the preview video show the preset on real speech, not a single word.
  • Offer a clear Emphasis style. Buyers love captions where key words pop.
  • Give each preset one clear idea rather than many effects stacked together.
